I'm a lifelong lover of all things fantasy and a passionate member of the LGBT+ community. It means so much to me every time I pick up a book to find characters with different sexualities on the pages and seeing them in fantasy books is even better! It gives me a thrill each time to feel like people like me are being acknowledged in my favourite books. Because of this, I also strive to be as inclusive and diverse in my own books.
The Oracle Stone is a wonderfully imaginative story set in an immersive world and centres around a diverse cast of loveable characters. It is a story that brings to mind classic fantasy tales of magic, epic quests, and heroics, while also putting some modern-day spins onto each of these beloved fantasy tropes.
Jekku Aj'ere can see everything from the start of time to the end, and it’s an agonizing curse. His only chance to bargain for freedom is to find the Oracle Stone, a magic artifact that was split into four pieces and hidden centuries ago.

Bloody Spade is an incredible, action-packed and anime-inspired urban fantasy with a magic system like you've never seen before. We have a host of queer characters to fall in love with, such as a pansexual cat-boy with a traumatic past, a scythe-wielding asexual girl, an aromantic wielder of fire, and a demisexual plant girl. It's also one of those books where it's so clear when reading this that a lot of love and dedication went into creating this story and the author's passion is simply contagious.
A girl full of heart A thief touched by darkness A boy with a fiery temper An unwitting servant of evil

Metanoia is the first dark fantasy story that I can say I tremendously enjoyed. The world-building is phenomenal and the characters really grab you from the start and don't let go, even after you've reached the last page. And of course, we're treated to some lovely queer rep in the form of a scholarly lesbian couple and two best friends who clearly feel more than just friendship towards one another.
The Fifth Yanai is a story of the value of free will, the triumph of love, and the fight to live life on one's own terms. Metanoia is the first installment.

He travels into the heart of a society that opposes the very existence of his kind. But what he expected to be a simple test of his devotion will bring him face to face with his greatest rival — a…
I adore V.E. Schwab's stories. They're always so imaginative and immersive and I think her Darker Shades of Magic trilogy is a prime example of that. I was thoroughly hooked from the get-go when I first read this novel, with its fantastical worlds full of magic and danger and characters that practically burst off the page. What I wouldn't give to spend a day in Red London. And speaking of characters, we are treated to some lovely bisexual representation through the dashing prince, Rhy Maresh.
